(hereinafter "Baton d.o.o." or "the seller")
The buyer is bound by the general terms and conditions valid at the time of purchase (submission of an online order).
Availability of information
Baton d.o.o. undertakes to always provide the buyer with the following information:
- identity of the company (company name and registered office, registration and tax number),
- contact details that enable quick and effective communication with the user (e-mail, phone),
- essential characteristics of the goods or services (including after-sales services and warranties),
- product availability (every product offered on the website should be available within a reasonable timeframe),
- terms of product delivery (method, place, and deadline of delivery),
- all prices must be clearly and unambiguously defined, and it must be clearly indicated whether they already include taxes and transport costs,
- method of payment and delivery,
- validity period of the offer,
- the deadline within which it is still possible to withdraw from the contract and the conditions for withdrawal; in addition, also whether and how much the buyer pays for a possible return of the product,
- explanation of the complaint procedure, including all contact details of the contact person or customer service.
Product offer and prices
All prices in the Mediterra online store include VAT. Prices are valid at the time of placing the order and do not have a predetermined validity.
Order and prices
The sales contract between Baton d.o.o. and the buyer in the Apotheca Mediterra online store is concluded at the moment when Baton d.o.o. sends the buyer the first electronic message confirming their order. From this moment on, all prices and other conditions are fixed and apply to both Baton d.o.o. and the buyer.
The sales contract (i.e., the first electronic message about the order status) is stored in electronic form on the server www.mediterra.si and is available to consumers upon their written request.
Payment and delivery
The ordered products will be delivered to the buyer within the agreed period. Packages are sent via GLS, Pošta Slovenije (Slovenian Post), or DHL delivery services. We reserve the right to choose another delivery service if we can fulfill the order more efficiently. Delivery costs are charged to the buyer at the time of purchase. The delivery time for all placed orders is 1-3 business days. All orders are usually dispatched on the same or, at the latest, the next business day.
The table below shows classic and express delivery options. If the buyer opts for EXPRESS delivery, they must indicate this in the comments when placing the order.
Orders marked for payment in advance are an exception. Such orders are dispatched as soon as we receive payment to our business account. Orders placed during weekends and holidays are generally dispatched on the next business day.
In exceptional cases, the delivery time may be extended, so we kindly ask buyers who wish to receive the shipment as soon as possible to state this in the comments when placing the order.

Payment method
The APOTHECA-MEDITERRA online store offers the following payment methods:

upon receipt with cash or credit card (payment is made directly to the courier),
-
upon purchase with credit card (Mastercard, VISA, Maestro, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB),
-
upon purchase by proforma invoice (the buyer receives a proforma invoice to their email address),
-
upon purchase with Paypal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Personal pickup
is possible every weekday from 9 AM to 3 PM at the address Baton d.o.o., Medno 70, 1210 Ljubljana, by prior arrangement via phone 040 301 301. We will confirm personal pickup after receiving payment to our business account or when you send us proof of payment to our email address [email protected].
Issuing an invoice
After payment and delivery of the ordered items, Baton d.o.o. will also send an invoice to the buyer via email. The invoice itemizes the price and all costs associated with the purchase.

Discount codes
A discount code or promotional code offers various benefits when purchasing through the online store www.mediterra.si. An active code can be found on the front page of the advertisement, in an email from Baton d.o.o., or in other media. The code offers various benefits, from various gifts to discounts. Each code is always time-limited and must be used within a specified period, otherwise it is invalid.
Using a discount code:
- select the products you wish to purchase and add them to your cart,
- at checkout, on the top right side, click on the text "Click here to enter code" and enter the discount code in the "coupon code" box and click the "Redeem coupon" button,
- only one discount code can be used per purchase,
- promotions, discount codes, and free shipping are generally not cumulative and exclude each other, unless otherwise specifically stated that they are cumulative,
- once you enter the discount code, the value of the discount code is automatically deducted from your order price. The remaining amount needs to be paid.
Purchase process
- Product selection: On the website www.mediterra.si, select a product and click on the "Add to cart" link. The system will notify you that the product has been successfully added to your cart. If you wish to continue shopping, simply click the "Continue shopping" link on the left to return to the online store. If you wish to complete your purchase, click the "Checkout" link on the right, and the system will take you to the checkout.
- Removing a product from the shopping cart: On the website www.mediterra.si, in the upper right corner, there is a shopping cart icon, which (after clicking on the icon) displays the products that the user has added to the shopping cart while browsing the online store. If the user wishes to remove a specific product from the shopping cart, they must click on the trash can icon or select quantity 0. If the user wishes to add a specific product to the cart, they must click on the "Continue shopping" link. By clicking on the aforementioned link, they return to the online store.

Completing the purchase: To complete the order, you must fill in the required fields;
3.1. Payer information: you must provide the requested contact information marked with a red asterisk (email address, first name, last name, street, postal code, city, country, and mobile phone number), which we need to confirm and complete the order and deliver the product.
3.2. Your order: the user can choose home delivery with GLS delivery service or personal pickup at the pickup point: Baton d.o.o., Medno 70, 1210 Ljubljana-Šentvid.
3.3. Payment method: you can choose between: payment by proforma invoice, cash on delivery, Paypal payment, or credit card payment (according to the published list of cards in the online store).
3.4. Coupons: If the user has a valid discount coupon, they click on the "Apply discount code" field and enter the code in the "Enter discount code" field and click the APPLY DISCOUNT button.
3.5. Completing the purchase: The products that the user has added to the shopping cart while browsing the online store are displayed. The product price, delivery cost, VAT value, and total amount to be paid are visible at checkout, before the order is finalized.
3.6. Order finalization: The user can review the provided delivery information, the chosen payment method, and the contents of the shopping cart. The user confirms the order by clicking the ‘PLACE ORDER’ button. If the order was successfully completed, a message "Thank you for your purchase!" and the user's order number will be displayed on the screen. The user also receives an order confirmation to their email address within a few seconds of placing the order.
Purchase notification procedure
After placing an order, the buyer receives an email notification that the order has been accepted. Baton d.o.o. may call the buyer at their contact phone number to verify the data or to ensure accurate delivery.
The purchase procedure for legal entities is exactly the same as for natural persons, except that at the end of the purchase, the buyer also enters the company name and tax number of the company. Payment and delivery options are also the same.
Responsibility for material defects
The seller is responsible for material defects that the item had at the time the risk passed to the buyer, regardless of whether the seller was aware of it or not. The seller is also responsible for material defects that appear after the risk has passed to the buyer if they are due to a cause that existed before. Insignificant material defects are not taken into account.
Security
Baton d.o.o. uses appropriate technological and organizational means to protect the transmission and storage of personal data and payments.
Protection of personal data
Baton d.o.o. stores the following customer data indefinitely: first and last name, email address, contact phone number, primary address and delivery addresses, time and date, and purchase value. Baton d.o.o. uses the stated personal data for the purpose of fulfilling the order (sending informational materials, offers, invoices) and other necessary communication with the user. The user's data will in no case be handed over to unauthorized persons. The user themselves is also responsible for the protection of personal data, by ensuring the security of their email address, username and password, and appropriate software (antivirus) protection of their computer.
Communication
Baton d.o.o. will contact the user via remote communication means only if the user does not explicitly object. Advertising electronic and/or SMS messages will contain the following components:
- they will be clearly and unambiguously marked as advertising messages, the sender will be clearly visible,
- various campaigns, promotions, prize games, and other marketing techniques will be marked as such,
- the conditions for participation in them will also be clearly defined,
- the method of unsubscribing from receiving advertising messages will be clearly presented,
- the user's wish not to receive advertising messages will be explicitly respected.
Ratings, opinions and recommendations
Opinions, ratings, and recommendations written by customers are part of the online store's functionality and are intended for the community of all users. The Apotheca Mediterra online store www.mediterra.si allows any user of the online store to write an opinion, but Baton d.o.o. reviews them before final publication. Baton d.o.o. will not publish opinions or contributions that are in any way offensive, inappropriate, or which, in the opinion of Baton d.o.o., do not provide benefit to other users and visitors.
By submitting an opinion or comment, the user explicitly agrees to the terms of use of their opinion or comment and allows Baton d.o.o. to publish part or all of the text in all electronic and other media. Baton d.o.o. has the right to use the content of the opinion or comment for an unlimited period and for any purpose that is in the business interest of Baton d.o.o., including publication in advertisements or other marketing communications. The author of the opinion simultaneously declares and guarantees that they are the owner of the material and moral copyrights for the written opinions and comments and that they transfer these rights exclusively and for an unlimited period to Baton d.o.o.

Exclusion of liability
We reserve the right to disable the website or deny access to it due to technical or other problems and maintenance, which also means disabling or hindering the use of the online store. In case of technical problems on the website, we reserve the right to cancel placed orders that were affected by the technical error. In case of order cancellation, we will inform you as soon as possible and inform you about further steps. You must ensure adequate protection of your equipment (antivirus protection, etc.) before accessing and using the website. The buyer must ensure adequate security and confidentiality of the data used to log in to the website (email address, password).
Complaints and disputes
Baton d.o.o. respects the valid European consumer protection legislation and strives to the best of its ability to fulfill its duty to establish an effective system for handling complaints and to designate a person with whom the buyer can connect by phone or email in case of problems.
Complaints are submitted via the email address [email protected]. The complaint handling procedure is confidential. Baton d.o.o. will confirm receipt of the complaint within five working days, inform the buyer how long it will take to process it, and keep them informed of the progress of the procedure.
Baton d.o.o. is aware that a key characteristic of consumer disputes, at least as far as judicial resolution is concerned, is the disproportion between the economic value of the claim and the costs incurred in resolving the dispute itself. This is also the main obstacle that prevents the consumer from initiating legal proceedings. Therefore, Baton d.o.o. strives to the best of its ability to resolve any disputes amicably. In case of judicial resolution of disputes, the competent court is the one at the consumer's permanent residence.
Out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes
In accordance with legal norms, we do not recognize any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution provider as competent for resolving consumer disputes that the consumer could initiate in accordance with the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act.
